A quick douche usually takes about 5 to 15 minutes. But if I deep clean, I will do it until it comes out clear at least 4 or 5 times. It usually takes 45 to 60 minutes you get to that point.

A few years ago, I bought a shower enema kit from Fort Troff. It is a rubber bag that hangs below the shower head and has 2 hoses running from the bottom of the bag. One is a hose to empty the extra water out of the bag and the other hose has a wand attachment at the end that you use to clean out. I really like this kit because it doesn't FORCE water into you, it lets gravity drive the water into you. Also it is not a permanent attachment to the shower head, so when you are done, you can roll it up and put it away. I included a link to the ONLY one I could find on the internet. No, I didn't not pay that price, I think I got mine for under $30. But the link will give you an idea of what it looks like.

Those are okay, but they won't help you with deep cleaning. I've tried the syringe type and didn't care for them. Feel free to use what works for you.

If your friend is average size, you should be okay with the syringe. If he is bigger, you might need something different.
