It's official, I have been pricked.

Received jab number 2 of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine yesterday.

I hope all those who have yet to get the vaccine can get it soon so that we can begin to return to what we consider to be normal life again.

I am severely disappointed by the vaccine, I'm still waiting to grow a second head, grow a second penis, or a third arm. Come on Pfizer.

You do realize when I saw "I got pricked" on a site all about penises, the vaccine was not the first thing I thought the thread was about .

But good to hear yet another person has followed the science. I've been good to go for almost the second month now and the wife for three. All of my family (except for my wingnut brother-in-law, whom I've considered a lost cause even before Covid) has been vaxxed as well as half of my wife's (the rest are too lazy or believe the conspiracies). Except for that third arm growing out of my forehead *, I've felt much more relief these past few months.

Still will be wearing a mask certain places, like the gym, even though it seems the majority of the places in the U.S. no longer have any requirement. Despite maybe the low risk, I just don't feel fully comfortable yet due to the variants and that there are still so many knuckle-draggers who refuse the shot and are spreading their Covid cooties yet have cheated the guidelines and were the first to ditch their masks.

Continued wear of a mask is probably a good thing, at least in places where it's difficult to maintain a safe physical distance from others. This will help us protect others who have not yet gotten the jabs and those who for medical reasons aren't able to get them.
For those who do not watch independant and objective news or who still want to believe propaganda, there's always tin foil and bleach injections of course. (something I wouldn't suggest anyone tries)

Even after the risk decreases further from where it is now, I still intend to wear masks when out and about. I have terrible seasonal allergies and a cloth mask vastly reduces the amount of pollens I inhale when breathing.

I'll get my second vaccination later in the evening and I'm looking forward to quite a normal life.

Btw: It's funny that quite the whole world talks about Pfizer. In Germany we talk about BioNTech who devolped the vaccine and entered into a cooperation with Pfizer

Congrats <3 I got pricked 2 weeks ago with the first dose, waiting for the second dose.

PSA: Getting the jab does not make you immediately protected, remember that the full immunity is (typically) formed after 14 days from the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or 14 days after the first dose of a one-dose vaccine. Source: CDC US

Awesome! I received the second Pfizer two months ago but still wear a mask even where/when it's not required. Only 42% of adults here in the US are fully vaccinated. My state just reached 40%.

We are not out of the woods yet.
