Hi there!
I am gay.
For 2 months I have been living a drama.
Two months ago I traveled to Dublin where I had 2 sex parents in 2 different nights. I had unprotected oral (receiver and giver) and protected normal sex.
Last sex act was on Sunday evening. On Monday evening my lips started to hurt a bit and became dry and sticky. The situation got worse the next day. On Tuesday a herpes started to show up on the corner of my lips. Seeing this I went directly to the doctor next day in the morning. I got tested for STI (3rd day after sexual contact) and everything came negative apart from Citomegalovirus (which I had it in my body from the past in a latent form, but I got reinforced again) and the herpetic virus (which again... I had it in my body on a latent form but I got reinfected).
I was told to redo the STI blood test after 3 months.
The Herpes cleared up after 7 days.

And this is where the nightmare begun.

On Thursday (4th day after the last sexual contact) my lips started to crack even more and my tongue started to cumulate a white film. It got worse and worse. From Friday to Thursday I had light colored stools (after these several days I haven't had any of this symptom). Until Monday morning, when I went again to the doctor, my tongue was coated in white and I had small lesions on the back of the tongue (there was also a small small bleeding). The doctor prescribed anticandida (antithrush) meds for 10 days (both pills and moth wash).
After treatment the symptoms stopped aggravating but my tongue was nothing like before and I continued to have problems with my lips (cracked and sticky).
The doctor recommended me to use some other mouth antifungal substances for another 7 days. The meds didn't do anything, basically. .. My tongue was still coated in white, my saliva was very thick and my lips cracked and gluey (in the morning is horrible). I used a lip balm for a while and I keep a high oral hygiene.

I went to the dermato - venerologist 1 month after the last sexual contract in Dublin. Got tested for STI/STD and got the intravenous antibiotics (one shot) needed to clear up basically most of the STI. After few days the STI results came back Negative (all of them) . Even the candida test came back negative, although my tongue was still coated in white and my lips were cracked and gluey.

I was told that the HIV test is not conclusive as I was still in the window period (however the negati HIV test is a good sign as the lab used 4th generation combi test - Antiboby + Antigen reactive). I took the blood sample for this HIV test 34 days after sexual contact. I was also told that I should retake the Hepatitis B and C tests.

In the 5th week I went to the ENT doctor and got some other mouth wash substances..and gels.... Meanwhile I started to develop hairy tongue (at least this is what the ENT doctor said it was).
2 months have past after my "experience" in Dublin and I am so tired of this. The probability of taking HIV and Hep C from oral is low... Combined with the fact that I came negativ for both at 34 days... The odds are close to zero.. + my symptoms started 2-3 days after sexual contact and they are not characteristic to HIV nor Hepatitis (I didn't have any flue or skin rash...etc).
However I still have to wait 1 month for the conclusive tests.

I am so tired.... 1st month was horrible as I was thinking only about HIV.... Mentally I was done... Now... I am scared because nobody knows what I suffer of.
My tongue is still not well and my lips are cracked, red and gluey.

I am at the end of my powers here...

Does anyone experienced such a thing?!
Could u pls recommend me a clinic where I could go to (preferably somewhere in Europe)?

Pls share my message as much as possible.

Thank you so much!

That sound awful for you. I can’t help but wonder if the issues are not from STIs and unrelated to those encounters?

Are you still in Dublin or in Romania now?

As a person who performs HIV testing as part of my job, I think you are safe as far as HIV, but a follow up test is needed to be certain. A fourth generation HIV test should pick up antigens very accurately after 34 days, plus the risk of your two encounters for HIV is very low.

It is important to differentiate between stress symptoms and disease symptoms. So try to reduce your stress level.

What you have not included in your post is what you were doing prior to the Dublin trip and when you had last had STI testing. It sounds like hairy leukoplakia to me. You may need more aggressive doses of diflucan or at the worst iv diflucan if it gets much worse.

I would make sure to take massive amounts of a strong probiotic every day with meals and avoid all sugars and most fermented foods for a few months if not years. You mentioned you were on Diflucan and anti-fungal meds. While these may temporarily kill off unfriendly fungus in your body, they do nothing to keep them from growing back rapidly after you stop. Your gut health is super important to the health of your whole body. Antibiotics throw off this balance, and recent studies have shown that after just one round of meds some good bacteria never recover. If you don’t get friendly bacteria back into your digestive track and rebalance your gut, your whole system will be off and you can experience bad symptoms all over your body forever, eventually ending in multiple other diseases. Taking more medications for
these symptoms will only make this situation worse. Try to look at the big picture of your overall health and focus on strengthening that. Going to doctors to try to fix specific problems can be a slippery and dangerous sIope. Believe me, I’ve been there years ago and had to learn the hard way on my own. If I’d listened to doctors then I’d still be sick now. I hope that’s somewhat helpful to you.
