Hypothetically speaking RB. If Japan had better tacticians, their role was to start a war becuse of being starved of resources due to their conflict with China....they should have invaded Australia first. To gain control by surprise of the natural resources here, it would have been near on impossible to rout them.

Instead they chose a frontal attack on the US, which was always going to end in doom. Only 12 months in did they realize their stupid error, then diverted resources to invading Australia.

Yup, thanks to the US....not to the useless Brits who left us for dead while most of our elite troops were defending them, we came out on top thanks to the US.

To this day, I wouldn't trust the UK to defend anything over this side. They can't even settle shit over there. Same old, same old as far as Europe goes.
