In the recent Lunchtime episode, Ian mentions that if he wore sweatpants, he would wear briefs with them, so I take that he switches between boxer briefs and regular briefs. Unless he wear boxers, but I don't think he does.

I don’t know his specific reasoning for this but I personally choose to wear briefs with sweatpants too. It just makes sense lol
They were talking about how guys wearing sweatpants shows off their dicks and they don't like that, so I'm guessing its so his dick doesn't show as much, if at all.
