Pardon my ignorance, I am a newbie but I thought that men with small penises should be the ones in need of a support group.

Wouldn't this site be more accurately named:
Large Penis Appreciation Group?

Long Response: Both probably need support. This site is both a support group for people with big penises (either men who have them or people in relationships with those men) or people with an incurable preference for large penises.

Ok, so maybe this site has the potential to be strictly a support group but a lot of other things go on here too as you've noticed. The great part about it is that, in theory, no topic is taboo. We're already talking about large cocks, which is taboo because "size doesn't matter", right? We may as well talk about everything under the Sun.

It was mentioned in a television show called "World's Biggest Penis" (UK) or something to that effect, featuring Jonah Falcon, a guy gay, a straight guy, a porn star, and a guy whose name might be "Dan" from this site, although he wanted to remain anonymous. If not for the vague copyright rules on here, I'd post a torrent.

No, you're pretty much on the money, ML. The site was launched as a joke, and people stuck around. Then it got profiled on some BBC show and exploded...lots of people taking it seriously, etc.

Different people are here for all different reasons. These days, there are no doubt more here to gawk at large penises, and to show off large penises, than there are people truly seeking or giving support.

But any guy who's legitimately hung knows it is a mixed bag: there are definitely minuses to go with the pluses. And really, where's a guy to go to get informed opinions on what's the best underwear for a guy who's 7" soft? Or tactics to use to avoid painful bottoming out during sex? Or how to deal with the creeps who will trail you in the locker room to gawk at your schlong?

These aren't exactly questions you can ask your average-size buddies ... and I don't know of any other site like this, where a guy stands a reasonable chance of getting them answered by others who've been there.

So, in a nutshell, that's how the LPSG came to be, and how it got its curious name. Hope that helps with the confusion!
