He’s been looking very buff / toned latelyStill with this silhouette.
I understand what you're saying, but what makes Jack's situation so confusing to me is that he is so visibly queer! Before I even knew there was any question about his sexuality, I assumed he was gay! He's not even attempting to act masculine in his videos. If he doesn't want to be perceived as gay he's doing a horrible job of it.I get it, nobody wants to be the gay one. He doesn't want to be the gay booktok guy. But isnt that’s the problem? If even someone like Jack who has a big fanbase, succesful, in an accepting country still feels that being visibly queer would reduce him to a gimmick or a liability, what does that say about how far we’ve really come?
Tbh I don't think you need to come out or state your sexuality. I could see him not wanting to do so because it really has nothing to do with his content.I subscribed to Jack maybe 5+ years ago and probably never looked at his channel again since. He randomly reappeared on YouTube shorts with his very well done Pierce Brosnan video, asking celebs about their favourite books is a great idea!
I've just binged this thread and the overwhelming sense I get from this is wasted potential. So many curtain twitchers over the years defending him against speculating on his sexuality, despite actively capitalising on it. It's an instinct I fundamentally don't understand. Why are we defending the erasure of queerness from public life? I get it, nobody wants to be the gay one. He doesn't want to be the gay booktok guy. But isnt that’s the problem? If even someone like Jack who has a big fanbase, succesful, in an accepting country still feels that being visibly queer would reduce him to a gimmick or a liability, what does that say about how far we’ve really come?
It’s not about forcing people out, but there's so many threads like this one and I know we're all made horny bastards but idk I find it sad. So many of this generation took the hard won liberties and freedoms of the last generation and said I'm good thanks and largely walked off the pitch. But what will that leave the next generation?
I don't understand why it's so normalised for queer people to erase their sexuality. This is not how straight people operate and we need to stop accepting this as normal.Tbh I don't think you need to come out or state your sexuality. I could see him not wanting to do so because it really has nothing to do with his content.
this is a bad take you can be straight and still support the lgbtq+ community.I don't understand why it's so normalised for queer people to erase their sexuality. This is not how straight people operate and we need to stop accepting this as normal.
You do not need to state your sexuality in every conservation. But how can someone who covers LGBT+ media not in anyway reference their sexuality without purposely hiding it.
He appeared at media appearance for LGBTQ+ media thoughthis is a bad take you can be straight and still support the lgbtq+ community.
what media appearance? He appeared at media appearance for LGBTQ+ media though
Man, they both got such nice pink lips, giving me some THOUGHTS... I can't be the only one, can I?
