The customers have been dumb and hapless in those commercials since “Jake” was white. It’s the same with Farmers where old white JK Simmons is the all knowing spokesperson and the Geico commercials starring a CGI gecko. Why it makes a difference where this “Jake” is concerned is awfully curious.
I wonder if he's ever Googled himself and discovered he shares his name with a 1990s gay adult film superstar.
