Just discovered him on the excellent Netflix WWII movie, Munich - The Edge of War. Great cast and he’s phenomenal in it. Then it hit me, German actor, there’s a 99.976% chance he’s been nude on film and welp LPSG never comes up short haha. The movie is currently #8 in the US and there’s no doubt if he wants a future in US cinema he’s got one. Not a false moment from him. From all the above posts it’s clear he’s a chameleon on film as well.

I came across him the same way. He (and Irons) did an amazing job in the film. But whenever he was on screen I could not take my eyes off him. Wouldn’t be surprised he doesn’t get some US roles soon.

Let’s not forget George MacKay (1917) or the rest of the cast. All were fantastic but true you can’t take your eyes off of Jannis. I just started “Beat,” the German thriller tv series and yeah he’s legit. Plays an oftentimes strung out club promoter recruited by the German secret service and one episode in and I’m hooked. It’s on Prime.
