I have a theory and that is that Jared is simply another guy who has fallen for the sugar daddy trend. The thing about Romanian Rroma ethnicity also known as gypsies is that they are separated into different castes.

One one hand you have the upper caste, the wealthy drug lords, interlopes & criminals who run things within their community, distinguished by their wealth and the way they carry themselves as kings and nobles, very conservative in their own culture, they follow their tradition down to a T.

Then there's your run of the mill caste, their genetics are often mixed with Romanians, and they are easily spotted by their obnoxious thirst for money & clout, these usually being the ones resorting to stealing & defrauding or simply getting as much money as they can and showing off their wealth and gains.

And then you have the lower caste, the likes of Jared who stray away from their culture and tradition, sometimes not even acknowledging their heritage except in closed circles out of fear of being looked down upon.

At the bottom of the barrel you'll find the lowest caste which are the impoverished ones, characterized by their absolute lack of any material wealth contrasted by their insane numbers of offspring and family members, they look up to their kings and nobles, sticking to tradition and being conservative withing their culture. Sadly these are the ones being trafficked and used for gaining money thru stealing or dirty jobs in developed countries, because of their lack of education.

I am telling you they’re incredibly practical and have very little in way of morals or scruples. They adapt to whatever cultural and religious norms are prevalent in their locality but they don’t embrace them nor do they let them get in the way making a quick buck. For example, in communities where both Christians and Muslims live they’re likely to play both sides equally panhandling during Ramadan and then again at Easter. They’re about as far away from being conservative in any sense of the word as you can get.

You missed the entire point of the question which was asked, while only pointing out their behavior and morals when it comes to dealing with other ethnicities such as Romanians themselves (Sticking to Jared's nationality) - their morals and scruples where never in question in regards to how they carry themselves in society, they've done a swell job at showing their true colors thruout the world all by themselves, trashing and muddying the Romanian ethnicity along with it, but the guy was curious how Jared's past activity would be perceived within his own gypsy community & culture, and that's what my answer & explanation was about.

So while your first hand experience is accurately described with them being scrupulous when it comes to money or gains, that was all implied in my explanation based on living among them. (Wikipedia copy paste - bro what?)
