Yes, dude is biracial but he is still black. No matter how you flip it, his genetic makeup is black present so his black. Not entirely but mostly. Even dude was left in a white racist county they would label him Black and remind him he isn't white even though his biracial.
Worth mentioning, seeing how he is from Nebraska I wouldn't expect him to date a black woman. Usually, people date within their comfort level. Its likely he is used to dating white because he lived a in a predominantly white neighborhood. This situation happens all the time with black athletes. Many get scholarships to colleges (P.W.I.s) that are predominantly white. When looking for sex, they often choose a white, asian, or latino girl because that's what's mostly available to them. After graduation, many choose to date those demographics because they have gotten used to them.

You can be biracial, identify as black, and still date out your race. Only times it becomes a problem is when date other races because you have negative viewpoints about your own.
My ex-boyfriend was mexican and only dated black guys. This is because he had irrational opinions about dating other latino guys. Over time, I convinced him he was wrong for having those opinions. I reminded him its okay to date other races but it shouldn't because you can't stand dating your own people.

He looks like a number of my mixed cousins. We have had family discussions about it. They don't present black. The reason, they and we know this, is because people are constantly asking them what their racial make up is. Also, I grew up in overwhelmingly white spaces (around WP of all socio-economic backgrounds). It made me love my blackness even more and allowed me to see how other groups of people think and operate. This includes college. The whole going to a P.W.I. thing is just an excuse.
There is a much higher percentage of BW at P.W.I.'s than BM. Story time. A BM male member and I went to the same university. He was a year ahead of me. By the time I had gotten there, he had already developed a reputation for pursing WW. Within my first week, this random black sorority came up to, walking like they walk (was here for it, LOL!), gave me their card, and told me that my family member "needed to get some black in his ass!" If you're wondering how they knew me, it's probably because I'm black and handicapped (stick out in a crowd). It felt like he must have told the whole school about me.
