Bad childhoods can't be an excuse for everything. If i was ignorant and deliberately being blissfully unaware of the impact it has on the psyche, then I would say that we are all in the USA and UK, etc, given a chance with education. But if that's too simple, then we are more importantly given chances to choose morally correct routes during moments in our lives every day, bare minimum.
