For context. He sleeps with him to try for admission into the 7. Comic soldierboy is a bit more 'innocent' and naive than the show version.

i think there's 2 different guys with that mantle. the og from the war, which jensen plays, and a young current supe trying to sleep his way to the top. so the homelander and soldier boy sex scene was never gonna happen, because they're not the same guy in the comics

The show made a lot of changes to various characters. It's not a 1:1 translation.
In this case I think all soldier boys (I believe they're actually 3) are combined into the one version of the character who has a changed personality/backstory entirely.

Um... I was actually making the opposite point....
You see, someone was calling him a homophobe, then the person you quoted made the point of saying no he's not because he even auditioned with a bisexual sounding scene and then you asked to please produce this and then I did.... the bisexual audition scene.
Ta-da!
It's always nice to see that even in 2022 those scenes and plot points never make it into the final product. Funny how that just always happens.

Before he died Gunpowder stated that Soldier boy only hit him on occasion which is why he wanted a transfer.
