Hi-Please know, I don't mean to be a smart ass or anything. I keep seeing people write "bump" as a reply to a post and I cannot figure out what it means. Could someone please explain, without faulting me for my ignorance. Thanks!

It is just a brief post to bring the topic back to people's attention and place the thread near the top of the display of thread titles. Usually when an answer to the original request hasn't been forthcoming or the topic has had no action for a length of time and is getting lost in "the past".

Just means that by adding a comment the post will temporarily get “bumped” up to the top of the forum and maybe get noticed by someone else who may be able to add more to the post.
