Joaquin Phoenix

Todd Haynes just announced that the movie will be rated NC-17 and usually this rating means that a movie is very sexually explicit, think Blonde from Netflix(where Ana de armas simulated a blowjob on close-up)

just saw that, people hype up their movies though and the end product is always very different from what was conceptualised. Blonde was the first high profile movie in 10 years to get a NC-17 rating and they only kept the rating because it was a streaming movie. I'm sure if it was supposed to get released in theatres it would've been edited down.

Are you sure, though? First of all, frontal scenes? And I saw huge huge balls in the cam version.
Yes—I saw it in theatres. There's a long scene where he's in the bathtub and you don't see it there, but he runs out of his apartment naked (long story) and runs around on the street for a few minutes. He gets into an altercation on the street and there are a few quick flashes of full body where you definitely see dick. It's so brief that I assume they could have just CGIed it or something, but it seemed real from the brief flashes.

@xander_7 there is for real, frontal nudity in the movie, look at the part he gets hit by a van. It's very fast, but if you slow motion it , you'll see what's happening. His balls are really huge((like gigantic) in that scene though ,so I'm not sure...might be prosthetics but I don't know
He also shows his balls in the sex scene that happens late in the movie and they are again very huge. So I'm not sure if his big balls are part of the storyline or if Joaquin Phoenix just has very big balls(then I'm not trying to bodyshame him in anyway).

PS: I have only skimmed through the movie, I am yet to properly watch it so the balls might be a part of the storyline
