Joel pimentel (cnco)

Joel was my favorite from the group, and I know he's not quitting music altogether and we'll still see him, but its still disappointing, especially because I had bought tickets to their concert last year that got cancelled due to the pandemic. I was waiting for them to be able to tour again and reschedule the dates but now I won't be able to see them all together. :sob:

I definitely could tell that Joel didn't seem to feel as close with the others the way the rest of them did with each other; there were a few group vacations that the rest of the guys took together and Joel went to visit family or did something with his friends instead. But I still kind of always thought that Joel wouldn't like to have a solo career as much because he was the most shy and one who liked doing interviews the least, so I thought he would always want to have the others to share the spotlight with. But I guess Zayn was the same way. I wish Joel and the rest of the group success, but I still hope they reunite as some point as well.

I do believe they will do together in the future still, maybe like 10 anniversary which is not far away or something like that in the distant future. Mainly because although they didn't click with him as they did with each other, it can be seen that they do have respect of him and he for them. I don't think they were purposely mean to him or try to annoy him, that's just their goofy character and personality, Erick is the only one who seems to get along with everyone he interacts with (outside the band).

When Zayn left he said some things about being mistreated and stressed and other guys were slagging him off, saying that it's not like that that they love their fans, but now 6 years later all the rest are looking sympathy in media with sob stories, repeating how depressed, mistreated and overworked they feel, basically exactly the same things they were shittalking and shaming Zayn for, years before. CNCO are not like that, they seem very genuine and natural, I think this last performance they will do this Friday will be very special for them to say goodbye properly.

But it can also be good marketing move, tickets for this online show are not cheap you know, and it kinda does feel "buy the ticket if you want to see us perform together for the last time"

Yeh it's not bad if you're in the right mood...

With all the messedup band breakups and shitetalking (OneDirection vs. Zayn, Little Mix vs. Jesy, 5th Harmony vs. Camila) it was really nice to see how they said their goodbye on their last show together. And when Joel released his single, CNCO instagram page and all the boys individually posted link to Joel's video on their Insta stories with caption "congrats brother". that was sweet of them

He comes across as a little self absorbed tbh.
There is definitely two of them. He used to do vlogs and he came across as sweet innocent boy who loves his brothers and whole (extended) family. He's so innocent and still a virgin, which was disscused when they filmed a music video for a song Solo Yo, where Joel kissed a girl on set for the first time in his life. and he was 19 or 20 at the time. He believes in waiting until marriage. I don't know where his values come from, but I had a mate with same thinking to save yourself for wedding night, and he kinda did thought that he's better than the rest of us because of that reason alone lol. Not saying that's the case here, but hm...

And yeh there is this cocky and smug Joel in public. Since the departure for CNCO he changed his stage name to De LEON (his middle/grandfather name) and he's constantly wearing bright blue or yellow contact lenses, so he created this public persona to cope with everything I guess, or he just want to prove himself now that he's on his own. I don't like his lenses at all. But I still follow him on social media and stuff, so I get what you mean
