Parasocialism is definitely real. BUT people can also be completely different online as opposed to who we see in person. Who knows? He could very well know Joey. Idk. I've no dog in this fight; however, I'm very entertained by both sides.

Now tell us, If you know Joey well enough for you to be able to ask him to go to a concert with you just as a friend of course, and also be one of his "students" as you call it, then why would you have to create a "fake account" in order to follow him on social media? I mean if you guys are that swell together why not just follow him with your real account? That doesn't sound like much of a friendship or business relationship now does it. But again, Kansas is Joey's hometown where he was raised. So it makes no sense for him to push everyone aside that he came up with to hang out with you instead.
