The thing about Luca Guadagnino is he has a history of projects falling apart, projects being cancelled or just losing interest in them. I don't expect his version of this remake with Austin Butler as Bateman to go forward, meaning I'd love to see a different director get their shot and maybe Jonny can sneak in.
As an aside, I would loooove to see Jonny redo the threeway scene in AP but with two hungry thicc bottoms. And I don't even necessarily need a film as an excuse to see that.

Why?

I notice a pattern here of gay movies directed by gay directors : gay actors aren't cast in the gay roles.

Examples :

1. Broken Hearts Club - 2000
2. Stonewall - 2015
3. Call Me By Your Name - 2017
4. Love, Simon - 2018
5. Red, White And Royal Blue - 2023

i would dispute that in two of those movies, half of the gay characters are played by queer actors (one is out and the other is semi-closeted... like everyone knows but he's keeping his private life secret)
