NYC is tough. I feel for him but I admire him taking a chance and doing pursuing his dream. I am not sure how much he made on OF but I figure if it was really profitable to him he wouldn't have stopped? Or maybe he doesn't want it to look bad on his career?

wtf is a BET model? lmfao. He looks like a model model to me, maybe most models don't look like him but in the industry that should give you an edge.
It's probably because you're not in the industry or have no knowledge of it. He looks like someone who would walk for a BET fashion show or someone who would get sporadic jobs, versus a traditional model. I don't believe he he ever had an agency in NYC, like Wilhelmina, Soul, Ford, etc. Even the fashion shows on his page are parties you pay to attend and watch the show versus Fashion Week.

I’ve noticed this too.

So basically another guy who wants to look like he’s self-important?

When you're not a professional model it's harder to make it. Agents help you get jobs. And the jobs are from different kinds of clients. But you also have to look the part. When you're doing it on your own, representing yourself to find paid work is exhausting and any times, fruitless. He's definitely not booking big campaigns and doesn't book e-commerce work. He's networking but most likely rubbing elbows with people for trade work and nothing sustainable. It's a business. Even some professional models do OF to make ends meet sometimes or to get an extra coin. He had a decent run in his lane.

But the things you are explaining are not about looks. Its more about networking. I took from your original comment that he cannot be a professional model because of the way he looks.

I also wonder if he would have had a better shot at print, which has far more varying looks. I don’t think he would have been bad as an runway model (he seems fine from what we have seen), but it is a notoriously hard job to crack and even then many models who are not “supermodels” have opined about the poor pay

Which agency do you see him working at successfully, based on his looks? What experience do you have with the modeling agencies here? Which ones do you work with?

It's actually two points:
1. While he is attractive, his look isn't marketable as the agency models.
2. His career won't be the same as theirs because his lack of representation will cancel his chances to get those jobs.

Lots of girls on here fall in love with how these boys look and think that makes them experts when modeling is a business. Or rather, there is a professional modeling industry. Sometimes, even an aficionado can be smart enough not to be subjective. But girls love thinking they know what they're talking about, just to feel correct and defend a man that will never acknowledge them.

I'm not sure why you are attacking me. I literally asked you a genuine and simple question. It didn't require all of that sass and basically saying im just in love with him or something. That "pick me" drag is played out and why I tried ignoring it the first time. I just want you to spit it out; you're going on about one thing then on the other hand it seems like none of those things matter because you do not think he looks the part. So which is it? Your original comment about the BET model made it sound a type of way, so I didn't want to assume what you meant and asked you.

You getting your answer is an attack? If you don't know anything about modeling and fashion you should lead with that instead of asking me "wtf' and giving sass when someone who can give a professional opinion. You pushed through with your uneducated thoughts and got what you gave right nack. You'll get the same energy right back.

Yes, you are definitely getting way too emotional about this. I asked "Wtf is a BET" model. You went on this high horse like you are tyra banks because of that? I never pretended to know everything about modeling, You're just making stuff up in your head because its easier to be offended and be a dick on the internet than to answer simple questions. All i'm getting from this is he isn't white enough to be a professional model in your eyes. We all know there has always been a lack of diversity in the modeling industry; so i'm not sure why you can't spit that out. I'm going to mute you now, since you are overly sensitive and seem more into arguing than discussing.

I'm not reading that. As soon as I saw you said I was emotional yet you felt "attacked" I couldn't stomach the bs. If you don't about models and fashion sfu next time.

Actually, I wil.

I'm emotional yet you felt "attacked." It's not about a high horse. You didn't know what you were talking about and you still don't. If you don't, listen and learn or sfu and be prepared to be called out. No models on a proper mens board would even have their hair like that. Models can have braids and twists and be professional but nobody is booking jobs with that hairline. You quoted me with a poor tone and when you got that same energy back you wanna be a victim.

It’s not looking too good. He’s crashing out on his IG stories.

He says he’s 3 days away from being homeless and has nowhere to go. Nobody is hiring and the only thing that brands are willing to do is send him free merch.

He was going on a rant about how much he hates everybody and how he’ll beat somebody up.

It's some jobs here with a quick turnaroun.. not the highest paid for new entries but he said minimum wage. If you're willing to sleep on a train, go to a shelter and do Door Dash, etc. during the day. Those prices are a trip. If they not paying you now, what is raising the price gonna do. You have time to turn things around. Exhale and March on.

He was working as a sales associate at Nordstrom last year and one day just walked off the job to be a full time model.

I remember him making a video about following your dreams and not letting anything stop you and how he had too many goals to be tied down by a 9-5.
