Has anyone seen the story about him refusing to ever play a gay character because he'd be afraid that his fans would think he's gay? If he indeed said that, he's revealing his homophobia (obviously), insecurity, and plain stupidity.

First off, he's not giving much credit to his "fans".

Secondly, some of the best and most famous actors have played gay characters. In fact, I've seen a trend of actors that play gay characters seem to get the great roles, and thus more fame and recognition.

Again, I'm not one to stand on some soap box and preach. He and I are living in America, so he has a right to his opinion.
