yeah, they tried making artie quite unattractive. it's a bit of a ned flanders thing where the dude looks bland but then takes his clothes off and has a banging body.
tbh i think if it was done today artie wouldn't be the nerdy loser in a wheelchair. he'd probably be a jock(in a wheelchair). rolling your own wheelchair all day would get you some crazy muscular arms. i think i read something about a possible glee remake, if they have a disabled character, it wouldn't surprise me in slightest that the character is a jock whose dream is to one day be in the paralympics

I seem to remember hearing that Kevin actually requested not to be shirtless in that one episode with the calendar, and they incorporated it into the storyline. I agree that he's always been sexy, but he hasn't always been quite so "in shape" and you know how sensitive we gays can be about our appearance.
