I've often wondered about this myself. Glad to see that I'm not the only one who's unintentionally killed a thread.

Go take a look around the Political forum, and you will see some threads that you probably would wish that had been killed before the OP pushed the send button.

did you ever post a comment on a thread, looking forward to all the responses that will follow, only to see that apparently your post killed the conversation?

Yes, but who really cares. It never really dies, it disolves into the ether, only to reappear at some point in the distant future. Forums are an invention of recent times. It allows the everyday folk to post our humour, emotions and thoughts. We post publicly, we post always knowing that others will be thinking either the same or differentlly. In the end it is the freedom to do so, within the the restrictions of site rules.

Posting in a particular sites forums is a priveledge, not a right.

Not everyone is going to share anothers point of view or opinion. I don't have anyone on ignore because not everyone agrees with everyone 100% of the time. I look for the unusual, original, the creative, it comes in all shapes and sizes. I must say, I enjoy sitting in my chair and viewing instantly pics and thoughts of others around the globe. Just to think, I could not type a word a few or twenty to thirty years ago :) And I don't use spellcheck :)....blah blah. If I were to reach my 90's....well, who cares about that.

One bit of tech i be thankful for is the edit tab and of-course...YouTube :) I guess thats 2 :)

yes, happens to me as well..... I think what may be killer is a post that is 100% right, and no one has anything else to say about the conversation.
Post about Cunts, you are sure to get a nibble or two. Pussy is so........yesterday. In years to come it will be called? Now there is a thread idea. I predict it will be called Cuntfused, because no-one will have a use for it....Oooops :) :)

I have, but I have resurrected them by leaving a subsequent post akin to 'there's no way I'm going to leave the final word on this topic ...' This bumps the thread to the top of the list, more people click on it and someone adds to the topic, others reply, and a lively discussion results. Posts never really die, they just get obscured by the numerous other posts written each day/hour.

I always wondered about the secret bumper. I would have thought you much older though.

Posts and threads are like Bumper Cars, you never know who you are going to run into. From the rear, side or the front. If it goes dead, some prick turned off the power :) :)
