Kingdom Come Deliverance actors Tom Mckay and Luke Dale

Coming out of gooner mode to vent about the game a bit, sorry not sorry lol

Supposedly Tobi the PR guy has been saying they want KCD2 content wrapped up by end of 2025. And now Tom says he's done his last ever VO recording for the game and Luke can't even visit Prague till his visa stuff is over. Unless they sneak in romance stuff in the forge DLC, we aren't getting any more Hansry.

Glad we got it at all, but I would be so disappointed if they really don't do anything more with these characters. And the actors of course, Luke's best work is in the romance-exclusive lines. And even if they do KCD3 two games from now, it will take over 10 years lol, I love Tom but I don't want him pushing 60 playing 20 y/o Henry...

Anyway, rant over, carry on
From what I've seen of the dev streams, being able to interact with your romanced partner post-game is highly, HIGHLY requested, and not just from Hansry enjoyers. It would be really disappointing if they never added more romance stuff in an update or dlc. I remember during the initial KCD2 reveal, Tom and Luke said that this game is goodbye to their characters... but of course, that was before KCD2 and Hansry's massive success. I had kind of hoped that that would chance things.

Boooooo!

Gamestar just put out an article where Tobi directly tells them no new content is planned for any of the main romances. Even if they do KCD3, I have a hunch Hans wouldn't be a major part since they would need to do 2 drastically different sets of dialogue.

Also, Tom's farewell to Warhorse was quite bittersweet. Hope both the guys keep getting roles, though it doesn't seem like Luke's having much luck on that account

Hmm honestly if this were most developers I would agree. But KCD2 has a script of over 2.2 million words with all sorts of contextual dialogue, much of which the average player will never see. For example if you return to Bozhena after each optional objective in Bad Blood, you can tell her what you've found out and she'll react. But 99% of players are just going to do the quest straight through instead of backtracking to Bozhena because there's no objective marker, so they'll never hear her perspective on your investigation.

So if they were willing to write and record all sorts of unnecessary and redundant dialogue for minor characters, having determinant/contextual dialogue for the franchise's second most important character seems like something they would readily do. In essence it's the entire premise of an optional romance; there will be lots of lines that are only unlocked by romancing them.

I think in KCD3 90% of Hans's dialogue would be the same between a romanced and non-romanced version. He'll be acting as Henry's lord (and friend) giving him objectives, dumping exposition, and providing comic relief. And then he'll have a few dialogue options and maybe small quests or activities if you romanced him.

Like, say we're at his wedding to Jitka and there's a side quest where Henry and Hans get to hang out before the ceremony. A platonic Henry and Hans would drink and reminisce about everything they've been through. But if you choose the romance route then they'd transition to talking about what they feel for each other, what the future holds, and then share a kiss and maybe more. The wedding takes place the next morning no matter what, but in the romance route Henry and Hans still maintain their secret love. The critical path in the game is the same, with extra/alternate lines and scenes on par with any optional romance.

Not to say your fears aren't valid because I've definitely been burned before by games, but developers can definitely work around determinant outcomes in series and Warhorse have shown they're not afraid of huge scripts with plenty of contextual dialogue (in fact they routinely trumpet it as one of their signatures).

Since we're in a bit of a lull with Tom and Luke...

Tom wasn't the only KCD actor to get naked in Lost Legion. Jim High(Erik, Cpt. Thomas) also bared it all, no potential dick slip for him though. Wonder if his ass is still this fine?

Tom is such a DILF. We need a director to cast him in a gay role where he spends most of the film naked.
God I hope so, we know he's fine with nudity and gay roles. And if Ben Starr can get his balls and ass out on camera, there's always a chance for these guys šŸ™
