He's not part of a kpop group. But he's part of the "scene". He's a CEO of an independent company and is friends with alot of idols/groups like Got7, Jessi, CLC, (G)-Idle, BTOB, Eric Nam and more I'm pretty sure I don't know off the top of my head.

I'm a casual zb1 stan with Matthew being my bias and from what I can tell he could honestly go either way. He seems like the type to enjoy some attention from wherever he can get it and those are hard to place. But I have no doubt he's in the secret 4th/5th gen idol gay group chat either way. Even if he's straight just because he wants the tea lol

he mentions alot that he diets a lot more, or maybe more “vigorously” compared to the other members. an running gag among carats is that he eats unseasoned chicken haha. i think he’s overall self discipline and hard work is super admirable

Not to be over the top, but at the end of the day it's an industry. I've noticed more and more these recent generations that male idols treat their armpit areas as erogenous. I don't think it would take too long of a conversation or at the least, time in the spotlight, to notice that something about their pits attracts adoration.
That is to say, I'm not really convinced he is or isn't straight. But I really hope the pit shots keep on coming
