I feel that it's normal for fans who idolize and idealize Kris to be shocked as they have been seeing him painted by the media as that normal loyal Christian boy next door. Even believers sin. Unlike Jay Z or Beyonce, Kris didn't get fame much which means he doesn't get much media scrutiny and with this laid-back persona he seemed to be more relatable and approachable to the fans. Fans are experiencing various levels of disenfranchised grief from this emerging disillusion.

Ehhh...he's "Christian" in his personal life, but he doesn't advertise it, he's not conservative or churchy. The church they belong to is non-denominational. He isn't a Christian artist, always explains it's not his thing.
For me it's not about his being religious or not, it's just they seem to be down to earth real people who work at their marriage and love each other. Nothing to do with how the media paints him. Anyway, he's a cool guy. Met him several times after shows and he's super nice.
Hmm yeah I agree. His persona (reputation and fame) being humble to the fans unlike stereotypical public figures adds the burn.
Shocked? Not slightly. Men are men...they get horny...they've been married for a while...they look at porn or talk to others online and flirt or sext. It's not the end of the world or the end of a marriage. Perhaps his wife even knows. I'm a little shocked at all the purse clutching here. I talk to straight and married guys fairly often online...a few regularly send me sexy photos....if anything, this makes me like him more. Perhaps breaking out of this 'goody two shoes' persona might make him more human in his celebrity persona.

It's nice to hear that you'll still be a fan. Each of us took this scandal differently and if you can still support him despite these stuff, such as maybe having a more positive view about him, it's completely okay.
