I would 100% agree with everything you said; except, it's not whining when someone is upset because someone else fundamentally misrepresented themselves. If they're not the actual creator, they should be upfront about that; otherwise it IS highly manipulative. But to your point, people should just walk away. They won't; mainly because they're doing exactly what you pointed out; thinking of OF as a dating site or something. They don't get how completely unrealistic and illogical their OF fantasy. It's also why they keep "whining" as if it will change him or anyone else like him. Dude is probably raking it in no matter all the negatives, because it won't matter to the people it should most matter to; his subscribers.
