No, I remember him saying something about his mom being just black (aka foundatinal black American,) not Puerto Rican mixed. He said his dad is from Puerto Rico. That would make him a biracial man, not simply someone with some distant ancestry of yesteryear.
I might not agree with a lot of things Gio says, but I'm also not going to take away race from him. He's half black and half puerto Rican according to his claims.
