I was being sarcastic. it’s not brave, but people will shout you down for criticising the dress for its aesthetic properties because “it’s not about whether it LOOKS good, it’s about the MESSAGE it sends.”

Anyone who's not afraid of unapologetically being themselves and defying gender and societal norms is brave imo, especially Black men who are expected to be hyper masculine all the time, and are never allowed to deviate from that persona at the risk of being ostracized, assaulted and even killed.
