Despite being a show about young people exploring their sexual selves let's say, the content has always been pretty PG. You never see the islanders talk about really heavy issues or engage in behavior that doesn't fit the brand. Having to show and then explain away a physical altercation between a man and a woman is just too messy for this light-hearted show to tackle, so they just avoid it.
