Love Island 2019

I don’t know why Love Island doesn’t tackle these external narratives with the amount of airtime they have. It’s some extra kick. Any reality show in the USA would’ve shown you what happened, use it for ratings and build drama off of it. Even in the UK CBB had a similar situation involving Hazel and that boxer. They showed everything...

Despite being a show about young people exploring their sexual selves let's say, the content has always been pretty PG. You never see the islanders talk about really heavy issues or engage in behavior that doesn't fit the brand. Having to show and then explain away a physical altercation between a man and a woman is just too messy for this light-hearted show to tackle, so they just avoid it.

I think they are more worried about Molly Mae suing the show and the producers for the assault, no matter how "playful" it was in a few months down the line,

so they are taking action now to show that they have necessary precautions to protect her and her wellbeing

They the producers knew that this would eventually come out, So they are doing whatever they have to do to protect their big money making show and ofcourse of Molly Mae herself

But for sherif coming out calling discrimination instead of being man and owning up to his mistakes, no matter what how jovial it was, an "assault" still occurred

But if it truly was just play fighting she couldn’t sue surely because there is camera evidence

To be on the show sherif and the other contestants will have most likely signed an NDA Forbidding him talking to the press,

And what's the first thing he does once he gets home, he goes to the press claiming discrimination because he's black,

They probably deleted all footage of the incident to protect themselves, sent sherif home told him to be quiet and it will all blow over and be forgotten about soon enough but now sherif has done what he's done,

So why can't Molly Mae and her family sue for assault?

Anything could potentially happen.....

It was play fighting but apparently when it happened she kind of doubled over like she was in pain, then got back up and said she was ok.
They're taking NO chances after the bad press they've had the past year.

But I agree about him saying it's racist, what an absolute pussy! Admit your wrongdoings. It was obvious he was playing the victim when the first thing he said was "I've never said that word (Cunt) before in my life"! Like, at least make your lies believable hun!

I have to disagree. Last year Ellie called a girl an “ugly cunt” and nothing happened. Sherif was removed for using vile language. The playfight was irrelevant, because they both actively acknowledge it was a accident.
To imply it’s not based around gender and race is ridiculous.
White woman says cunt - nothing
Black man says cunt - removed

Because an assault is an attack. Play fighting (which they both consented to) doesn’t constitute an assault

Its not JUST about him using that word! That's the point!

If they were the exact same incident then there would obviously be something about it but they're completely different. It doesn't matter if SHE said it was all fine, he's kicked a girl in her crotch then joked about it. They can't for a second risk the view that they condone that, which is why he had to go!

Well I don't think we know exactly what happened.

He said it was an accident - so it's not quite "he kicked a girl in the crotch and joked about it" as that makes it sound deliberate; more like "he accidentally kicked a girl in the crotch and made a joke afterwards."

Sometimes people say something stupid as a nervous reaction like when people laugh when someone tells them someone has died.

I'm sure he was apologetic afterwards and didn't mean to kick her. Saying cunt is no big deal , well not enough to get removed off a show, or not many people would be left on TV.

However, as I said we don't know what really happened or why he left. Seems like there is more to it.

Instead of moaning and arguing can we just share more pictures of the sexy guys ! I look forward to seeing this thread every day ! Yum
It was a discussion which was fully relevant to the forum topic. Images are not obligatory, this isn’t instagram

Based off of Tommy’s reaction, Maura staying in the villa is still going to impact him and his relationship with Molly. Hurrayyyyyy

I’m so excited! Also wish Lucie could be dumped from the island instead of both her and Joe :/ (although there’s no guarantee they will be the voted couple, they are the most boring couple)

Sooooo happy Maura didn’t go home.

I have a really bad feeling it’s gonna be Anton and Elma as they are the “newest” couple.
Would hate to see Anton go.
But the producers always put in a “risk” of going home so they can decide whether or not to throw in another curve ball. It’s all becoming very big brother

Love her or hate her but Maura is running the show and so far has been the only interesting thing about it,
I very much doubt she's that crude is real life and she puts it on for entertainment but I'm sooo glad she is :)

I wouldn't be surprised if the other islanders nominate Tommy and Molly as one of two least compatible either

Amy and Curtis are cute but they are slowly getting to me ugh
