I believe the show was canceled because Lucas’s bulge was demanding contract status and equal pay.
I can’t tell you how many people I’ve mentioned the show to and their response is “There is a new Macguver? I’ll have to check it out!” It is a strange time for network TV.

i just checked and it's not in my country's netflix. chances are there's no streaming deal for it and so it reduces the amount of people that know about the show. most people nowadays are cord cutters, i.e. they only consume media through online platforms, so unless it's available to watch online, most people under 40 aren't watching it

It streams on Paramount Plus which formerly CBS All Acess. I know because it's one of the streaming services that I keep for my parents because it has Survivor, Blue Bloods, and some CSI/NCIS shows they like watching. I used to watch Star Trek Discovery on there but after the first season I forgot about it and now I think I would be 2 seasons behind.
It’s a shame that no one knows this show exists. I can see it becoming really popular on other streaming sites. Especially when Lucas becomes more famous for being so damn cute!
