Luke Macfarlane

lemme guess, he plays a str8 romantic lead on a lifetime movie that no one will see???

He's a decent actor but Lifetime movies are such a fucking career dead end.

I genuinely think he was foolish turning down a role in Barbie. I get that maybe he likes his privacy but find better work than Lifetime lol.

Girl please… he’s making money, with a family, and I would assume, living his best life. You’re on a large penis forum, making critiques as if you know anything about him or the industry. Lol sure Jan

Tetchy lol. I just think he should do better gigs. It's not that deep.

There seems to be a lot of hubbub and somewhat misinformation being shared here recently. Let me try to clarify some things.

Luke's last project with Lifetime was Amish Stud, which came out September 2023. This isn't a "new" or upcoming project.

Luke turned down Barbie to co-lead in Bros, so he wasn't exactly turning down Barbie for "lifetime movies"... but rather a major theatrical release he probably thought would be successful (it was not!) He recently starred in a Hallmark Mystery film, CrimeTime: Freefall (which came out in February)

As for actual new/upcoming work:
- Platonic from Apple TV has been renewed for a second season (filming hasn't started yet I don't think)
- He just did voice work on the second part of Amazon's Invincible season 2 (he has at least 2 episodes coming up)
- he's also lined up for an LGBT-themed action film called Lone Star Bull (that is in post-production)

So hardly a "career dead end". There we go. :emoji_thumbsup:

Guy can't catch a break, Shangela's the other main character of Lone Star Bull. The controversy surrounding her right now is really gonna make the movie less palatable for audiences. At least gay ones anyway.

Is it too late to green screen Tig Notaro? Gay & Lesbian buddy comedy needs to be tested out anyway.

I was watching the new episode of popular show, Invincible, there's a gay character who returned from s1 who was played by Jonathan Groff (openly gay actor), BUT this time, I'm like, thats not Groff... but i know that voice. IT'S LUKE MACFARLANE!!! I'm so happy with myself

The character goes through some big changes between seasons, so thats probably why they changed voice actors. I'm glad our guy is getting more work

I want to see Luke and Danny Griffin in a movie together.
