There seems to be a lot of hubbub and somewhat misinformation being shared here recently. Let me try to clarify some things.
Luke's last project with Lifetime was Amish Stud, which came out September 2023. This isn't a "new" or upcoming project.
Luke turned down Barbie to co-lead in Bros, so he wasn't exactly turning down Barbie for "lifetime movies"... but rather a major theatrical release he probably thought would be successful (it was not!) He recently starred in a Hallmark Mystery film, CrimeTime: Freefall (which came out in February)
As for actual new/upcoming work:
- Platonic from Apple TV has been renewed for a second season
(filming hasn't started yet I don't think)
- He just did voice work on the second part of Amazon's
Invincible season 2
(he has at least 2 episodes coming up)
- he's also lined up for an LGBT-themed action film called
Lone Star Bull (that is in post-production)
So hardly a "career dead end". There we go.
