Most humans would agree that Daniel Craig (Bond) is an ugly bastard. Who the hell put him in films? I would like to see the eye of that beholder, it must truly be something special.

I actually think he's very attractive, I prefer rugged-looking masculine men to the typical Hollywood pretty boys like Zac Efron (just eww). He reminds me a little bit of Steve McQueen, another celeb that wouldn't have been considered handsome in the traditional sense.
Add Vincent Cassel to my list, that man is pure rugged sex appeal, especially as he gets older

Men usually get so much more attractive as they age, so maybe there's hope for the Orlando Blooms and Robert Pattinsons.. but Zac Efron will probably still look like a troll in his 50s

Male hollywood actors seem to be selected on a completely different criteria to the women. Perhaps they are chosen for their acting abilities rather than their looks *shrug*.

How bizarre is it that Kate Winslet, though conventionally attractive, is seen as a weird anomaly, and is celebrated simply for not looking painfully thin?

Swap ginger for any other group of people and see how that sounds... it sounds like it's surprising to see one that is attractive because the default is that they aren't.
