Omg that’s so bad.

If they’re going to handpick candidates to represent countries, the least they could do is to make sure these guys showed up. Since this is a new pageant with no track record, they should have offered great incentives. Make them sign contracts.

Also posting on social media that these guys are the candidates before they actually confirmed was one gigantic blunder.

Holding a pageant in the U.S. is already a challenge given the strict VISA requirements. That's why a lot of your male pageants are held in Asia because those Third World countries welcome foreigners and westerners with open arms and legs to attract those hot super-model-type male candidates and boost their tourism!

The only good thing about Mister Universe being held in the U.S. is that the judges aren't biased in favor of Asians. Like this year's pageant finales were horrible! You would be surprised how the heck some dude who isn't even that attractive and with pleasing personality even make it to Top 5 -- simply because they're rooting for that Asian country!

but I want one focusing on the sexy, masturbatory pleasure of gay men or even women. Mister Universe, despite his failure, putting onlyfans creators might be the first that proudly concentrates on that.

I want my winner in any pageant that takes the guts, to be the most handsome and sexiest. I am in favor of nude competition or at least a thong wear competition.

OMG WOW!!! Ireland's Patrick Callahan is such a Dreamboy.. If anything, at least Mister Universe got that hot-looking stud to be its ombudsman for next year, unlike other pageants whose crowned winners are unattractive and forgettable.

Good point. If this was an established pageant like Ms. Universe this wouldn’t be a problem. Imagine guys from developing countries applying for visas saying they’re representing their countries in Mister Universe. Consuls would probably think it’s a bogus pageant lol. But seems they had no choice due to budgetary constraints so the organizers had to do this in their home turf. Seems they couldn’t even find a hotel who’d sponsor them. where did they house the candidates? Some airbnb in Torrance? Or was it a house of a friend?

But looking at most of the announced candidates, a lot of those men do not need a visa to the United States. A lot of them are even Americans randomly assigned to represent a certain country. They simply decided not to show up. A number of them never even confirmed they were joining in the first place.

I hope this won't be the end of this pageant. I see some national competitions already running to find the next delegate (Spain for example).
The media of this show is a nightmare. If they tried that hard to promote the show by using those hunks, which mainly served the gays, they should have done it better. Like, where are the swimwear photos? And the BTS scenes and sponsor shoots (you may hate the Asian shows but they for sure give us a lot of contents).

A lot of these Asian-based male pageants only use those hot Caucasian male candidates to beautify and make their roster look hot. Admit it, these early top pics are the hot guys who attract the gay fans and boost their following. Only to disappoint in the finale because the organizers have the intention of rigging the contest in favor of some Asian candidates.

They do have a few but I guess, doing a pageant in December close to the holidays is not ideal. They had a short time wrapping things up and people are just busy with their families.

I didn’t say no one needed a visa. I said a lot of candidates didn’t need a visa. Check the candidates announced last year. A lot of them are from countries who only need an ETA. A lot of them are also based in the US (they’re either Americans assigned to represent a certain country, or already living in the states with a work visa/ student visa/ green card).

Vince Torres is currently in the States btw. Why didn’t he join?

And seems you also missed the fact that a lot of the announced candidates never even agreed to participate in this pageant in the first place. What was the point of all that? Posting on social media that famous influencers are joining your pageant when in fact they aren’t? Such a shady practice to create some buzz.

too many different pageants water it down. And so much politics of how they get in, who pays for them, etc. In the USA competition, that determined all the US entrants, half the contestants were gay/bi, but none of them made the top five. NONE! It is biased for straight contestants. They don't really win that much except for more attention, especially for those who have OF.
