it can happen during puberty or through steroids, too much testorone (sp?) is in the body and the body countacts it by adding estrogen, hence the boobies.
though if it's very noticable he should maybe get them removed? personally i'm worried about having Moobs myself but i used to do weight lifting, but got a little chunky too so i dunno if it counts!

I too have male boobs. I have worked out my entire life and as I get older they are sagging. I used to have nice pecs. Now sagging boobs. But I guess that is part of life.:biggrin1:

Me, I've always been less than flat. I'm built like a small battletank with far too high a fat percentage. Saying that I'm pretty dense material, so I think for most people it's part of their build OR fat percentage ratios.

There are some men who have hormonal issues (too much estrogen) and cannot control those areas. Some of these men have "breast tissue" as well.
Although surgery was mentioned as an option, it is not always as feasible as one may think. For a male who has significant breast mass, simple removal is not really an option, as permanent scars will be apparent and could potentially cause more devisitation, emtionally, than what is already there. I think individuals need to revisit ideas and examine all options. For most, these guys do not go out in public without a shirt. If they have their breast removed, most likely, unless they have significant funds to for plastic surgery, they will continue to go out with a shirt, imho. They have to weigh those options...

My parents took me to doctors and eventually to specialist to find out "what's wrong with him" and why does he have big tits." Simple answer. I have a hormonal deficiency and my "boobs" are not fat, but are infact breast - lymph nodes, examinations, and all... I have to do it.
My chest size now is between a 40-42, waist is a 32 and my boobs are probably a good B cup. They are huge and there is nothing I can do about it. My philosophy... live with it, accept it. Hell, they are part of me - why change me to make others happy?
And, to be quite honest, I am really debating whether I should have this post here or not.........

had breast cancer, I thought that was what it was.
A few years ago I developed hyperthyroid and it returned again, both sides and larger. (also lost 30 lbs. of muscle, but no fat.)
Steroid using bodybuilders get it and call it bitchtits.
Does no harm in itself.

Gynecomastia or bitch tits in the steroid vernacular. Over production of estrogen & testosterone combined. There's a few corrective surgery place in the city that hope.

I've had a few people email me about being curious (I suppose) about my personal situation. To answer some of your questions, yes, it can be embarrassing, but so can many other things. I guess we learn to live with what we are dealt.
With that being said, though, I will share a story (two, abbreviated) with you. When I was 12, I went to an camp for Academically Gifted children at a university. Part of our regiment was to learn how to swim. I came out with trunks and a tank to cover up (btw, it was a co-ed swimming class). Our coach and some others encouraged me that I should not be ashamed of myself and remove the tank. It would be easier for swimming. I conceded. Needless to say, the lifeguard saw me in the pool and frantically blew the whistle running to me stating, "sweetheart, you must be covered while in the pool. You cannot be topless." I was devistated and immediately left - not to return for the swimming classes. I also tried to leave the camp to go home, but my parents could not afford to fly me back home.
I still have embarrassing moments, too. My wife and I recently came back from Cancun on a trip in December. A butch lady, her name was Regina (AKA - Reggie), had been drinking. She and her partner, Donna, approached me and my wife at one of the socials later that evening at the resort. They had been watching us, as well as several others. She said a lot of conversations had been taking place about me specifically. Anyway, she mentioned that she was pleased that we were so open and supportive of each other. Then she asked me how far along I was through the change... WTF? I had no idea what she was talking about. She proceeded to explain that she noticed I had a nice "rack" still and had been shaving. She asked when my final procedures were to make me a "man." Don't ask my response!
I share these stories with you to let you know it is a real situation and people are affected in many ways. Some more than others. For me, I learned to deal with it a long time ago. Personally, I would never alter my body surgically to change it. I have tits and they have been a part of my life for 20 plus years. I do exercise and weights, which have somewhat kept them from getting bigger, but still, they are very noticeable.
A benefit... my wife LOVES them and every other girl who has known me has never complained with them. Fascination and play has been a benefit.... So there, not always a negative.
I have uploaded a couple of pics, per some of your request, as well.

OBB, I have heard that when dudes get older who do heavy weight training and are not able to keep it up, will develop sagging boobs, too. But, heard it is more flab/skin than tissue - but I am not sure.... I suppose that is probably one of the main reasons why I do not focus too much on weight training and developing mass. I would hate for the things to get bigger or really saggy when I get older.

To answer your question... no, I do not wear a bra and dont plan on it. I do, however, tend to wear more tighter underclothing (t-shirts and/or wife beaters to kind of press them in some). As you can see, they're going to be noticeable.
As for this dude... I read the article and to be quite honest, find him to be somewhat of an ass but others as well who would deliberately do something as such for bet. I am not casting stones (well, I lied), but there are those among us (me and many others) who simply would much rather they not be there at all. However, as stated, you get accustom to them (sounds like he has) and learn to deal with it.
One thing I will confirm in his interview... you do get LOOKS from a lot of people (female and male) and even questions (I would rather you ask me questions than make assumptions). I suppose the hardest thing for me is the starring. Gym routines use to be quite embarrassing, especially when jogging or running because of the "bounce" and other activities, but again, you get use to it. Also showering still creeps me out at the gym because I feel like I am a freak show for guys to gawk at. The look up and then down in amazement (boobs and a larger size cock does get attention). Hell, maybe I should be an ass and do something to get $$$ (joking).
Believe me YourAvgGuy, if I saw you in the gym lockerroom I'd be thinking "best of both worlds!" But seriously, I realized at a young age people are assholes. Growing up I had tits and it (along with being overweight) was horrible because I didn't choose to mature so quickly. Yet, people (mostly boneheaded adults) would encourage me to workout/lift weights. I grew up in a poor neighborhood with a family that could not afford to send me to the YMCA let alone a gym. After a while I just grew to live with it but at times I really feel self-concious at the beach. Now I've got a full chest of hair that accentuates it, also makes lots of guys drool.

Breast cancer in men is also a real threat. As mentioned earlier, I do all the typical things women do for self-examination. I learned the procedure early because of my situation. My doctors also examine me yearly to make sure there is not a mass or anything unusual going on.
I do not have an Adam's Apple either. I am uniquely different, to say the least.

There are quite a few people who get turned on by this, for myself, I like large nipples on a guy just as much as a beautiful face,large cock or bubble butt. Some guys have had silicone injected or tattooing to enhance.
The site 'metabods' has some morphed pics and stories that are manbreast themed.

Hey, since i was about 11 ive had this problem, im now 18. i hate it, i go to the gym and swimming sucks, and changing. i tend to cover them up with a towel, and allways do if i get out the bath at home, i cant bare to look at them in the mirror or look down on them. I'm just scared mine get bigger. im considering surgery, but still unsure. Hate wearing just a t-shirt or tight jumper because of these stupid man-boobs. I'm 5"8 32" waist and just under 11 stone. I was allways a chubby guy through out my teens. and now i wouldnt say im fat, but i still have them. Gym doesnt help much, they dont seem any smaller. I'm allways complaining about them to my parents and friends, lol. Oh well...
