lol he knows damn well the best way to get people to watch the sponsored segments is to get naked. most youtubers just do regular ad reads, and people always skip them. he created a character and uses it for gratuitous shirtlessness because he knows it'll make people actually keep watching.

Right. Like He will find the most random reason to take off his clothes for us lol. The Doc Squatch ads. This ad was about headphones and he literally makes the whole ad about being a fitness influencer and then takes off his shirt. He knows his lane lol. Keeps it cute and is smart for sure
i mean, i get the dr squatch ones, since it's about soap. so it's something you use in the shower. makes sense to take his clothes off.
