If you want meet him and his bulge, go to his Café:
NORTH QUEENSLAND:
BLACK DOG CAFE: Run by ex-Manpower performer Esa Havela, 33, and established in February 1997, this is an up-market sushi/coffee eatery in Hervey Bay, three hours north of Brisbane. "Our aim is to mix coffee with sushi ... that's our westernised version of sushi which anyone can enjoy," he says. Now almost a year later, Esa is firming plans to open a second Black Dog Cafe on the trendy Sunshine Coast/Noosa strip, possibly others on the Gold Coast and Sydney, and to launch a franchise to take the Black Dog concept to the world.
Esa works the cafe with brother Juha, girlfriend Monica, his mother Leila, an apprentice, another waiter and a chef whose 25 years in the food business has stood Esa in great stead. We dined on a variety of sushi for around $US30 and it was the best in town.
Bon appétit !!
