Well, again, I'd refer you to the other thread that I listed about in post 20, and have a look, and especially in post 33 of that thread. :wink: His interviews all sound like he's a spiritual Zen master, but then at the gym, to call his antics "fratboy insecurity" would be an understatement. My trainer, who is the sweetest, most honest guy that I've even met, and never says anything bad about anyone, even told me, "He's, well, he's, uh, 'interesting', I'll say that for him. He's probably just someone that I'd steer you clear of is all." He is a master at martial arts, but it's still weird to try to get another trainer to spar with you, when you're BOTH in the MIDDLE OF SESSIONS, telling his client, "No, no, you gotta watch this, watch this, I'll take 'em, watch, ok, c'mon, let's go...", while the client is standing there, looking lost, and really just wanting to work out.
I really have nothing against the guy, and actually think he's sexy as hell, but he's much loonier in person than the always soulful interviews that I've encountered about him, and definitely not above certain displays of "fratboy" behaviour, is all that I'm saying.

Isn't all that "fratboy behavior" just an effort to overcome insecurity? Just shows that you can have damn near everything everyone else wants and still have your own insecurities. I think we're all al little loony inside our own heads! Cut him some slack! How long did it take you to grow into the person you are? Are you finished? If not, then allow others to hit bumps along their paths too, without your judgement, or worse, second-hand judgement!

Well, I didn't see my portrayal of Marcus Patrick as being "pedestal-like". And the use of that term implies that I was trying to pass him off as some sort of deity, which isn't the case. I saw someone make a statement about him that contradicted my views on his personality and I spoke up on it. And I have no shame in saying again that it sounded fake. Of course he's human. I never said he wasn't. Only that the description being provided didn't add up to how I saw him. That's not "pedestal-like". If Marcus really said those things, then fine. But so far, I have seen zero evidence to support this as being factual. Until real proof is provided, then I'm going to treat it as a rumor. There's nothing really fulfilling about this debate, so I'm out.
