wealthy can be relative. sure they might not be malibu wealthy, but they're indiana wealthy. they can live very comfortably without any worries.
wealth isn't just about having a million dollars in the bank, it's also how well you can live with little to no monetary concerns in your current city. . so sure, maybe they wouldn't be considered upper middle class in l.a., but in indiana, they're well off enough that they don't gotta live paycheck to paycheck and retire early
