i don't think being on camera was ethan's problem, otherwise he wouldn't be on camera still. his issue was that everything about their relationship was for the camera. he was barely his own person, he was just mark's boyfriend

it's possible. for as long as videos are up and being watched, every new view is money. it might not be much, since lgbt content creators often times have lower cpm, he could only be making $1 from it
The main reason they blew up was that they fit perfectly in the gay community idea of most desirable pairing, a young blonde skinny twink with a masculine college jock top (who also happens to be hung).
i dont talk much on this thread (since it’s semi depressing as i looked up to mark when i was much younger and he doesn’t seem to be ok), but I saw a interesting convo here talking about how ethan is able to do OF but disliked youtube. As someone who has a best friend who is dating a popular youtuber (travel content), being on camera while they do a vlog is straight up awkward lol. In contrast i’ve recorded myself for onlyfans a few times, and had guys record me too. It’s pretty different. When someone is vlogging, they do a complete change of their personality. I was completely awkward when my friend’s girlfriend just started talking in a different tone and talking about the food we were eating. I’ve seen a couple of behind the scenes stuff for other youtubers through my friend, where they’re practically saying stuff on script over and over. As my friend puts it, “they’re all fake.” And he told me majority of their personalities are not at all what’s on camera.
I have zero idea about Ethan talking about this and i’m honestly interested to know his side. I’ll try to find the video he supposedly deleted, maybe someone has it. But watching Mark’s new vlogs is straight up depressing, he needs help. Ethan honestly seems like he’s just trying to show his real himself that Mark never allowed to do or was against? There was earlier posting about how Mark might be conservative and stuff, and I can see that as a point where Ethan wanted to break away. I mean who knows if Ethan even wants marriage. Maybe he wanted an open one?
I’m in seattle and honestly I see it often where gay couples who were together for so long, move to the city and then break up cause one wants to explore more of themselves and other people. The person just never realized there was more to life than their relationship and was just “assimilating” what the other person wanted without realizing it
