He shared a video by these Trump supporting Neanderthals called the Hodge Twins, and in the video they were making fun of trans people, and essentially saying that trans people have baby envy and are mentally unwell (and that’s the nicest way I can put it). It was horrific and quite disgusting. I was put off when he started promoting the Trucker Convoy nonsense a while back, but I can see that this is the type of person he is. Probably would have stormed the capital if he was in the US.

That was worded poorly on may part. I meant to say that if he’s not American (or even North American) he wouldn’t have enough context of queer/black struggle through a Trumpian/North American lens. I wasn’t born in the US either, and my friends back home don’t share or understand my black/queer experience. That’s what I meant to say. But this site doesn’t let you edit your comments after they’ve been posted.

I think he's in the business of desire, and for some of us (and I hope a majority) homophobia and transphobia is unattractive, repulsive in fact. BUT, if you can overcome that by separating the physical from the political/emotional/intellectual/philosophical, go you - it sounds like a superpower to me though.
