he’s adopted and learned that his birth mother is Russian, idk if he said he was born there as well.

If Michael has said he was born in Houston, then he was.
If Michael has said both, then there is confusion.
I don't know what he has said, I only know what you have said that he has said. And you have only said that he has said he was born in Houston.
I have no idea what the validity of the "about.me" website information is. I have no idea where they got it. Was it posted by Michael himself? Was it posted by someone else? It would be like pointing me to Wikipedia to prove your point.

If it's lost on you that there's clearly conflicting information out there and hence there is confusion, then that's a you problem.
If Michael has said he was born in Houston ... there shouldn't be any confusion.
If you're confused because you're taking unsubstantiated "confliting information" from out on the internet, against what the person has said about themselves ... then that's a you problem.
And if Michael has said different things, which nobody has said that he has yet, then I could certainly understand confusion in that.
