You're wrong, the character isn't clearly gay, the actor is gay. They shouldve cast someone who doesnt come off as gay if they didnt intend to make the character at least bi.

Miles Heizer never said that he is gay, he never come out, his sexuality is just speculation by some fans. Unlike Brandon Flynn, who is openly gay, we don't knew about Miles. Without confirmation by him that he is gay, we must see him as straight, we only knew that he dated some girls...
Anyone with eyes can see that he is gay. He doesnt magically become gay only he publicly announces that he is so we can't just "view him as straight" until then.
Well I remember some years ago, I was 100% sure that the American diver Steele Johnson with his daily vlog was gay, but in reality he was fully straight. He even married a girl and seem very happy. So I don't knew who is straight or gay...it's hard to knew, many times I get wrong...for me Miles doesn't looks like gay.
