A word or two of caution, if I may:
Avoid anything "jelly", especially the non-name brand and on the cheaper end. These can be pretty toxic. Hit the well known online toy shops like
Fort Troff,
Mr S Leather,
665 Leather,
PinkCherry AdamMale and others who are miles above the local mom-and-pop sex toy shop that orders bulk from China and get really iffy, fishy products.
Why avoid most cheap jellies?
That said, the higher end clear toys from OxBalls, DocJohnson and other manufacturers are safe. But you'll be dropping some good cash for those.
Also, beware the material the toy is made of and use the proper lube with it lest your toy and lube don't get along and the toy's surface reacts, causing rough texture which can trap bacteria and fuck up the toy's surface.
- Rubber latex toys: no oil/grease based lube.
- 100% Silicone toys: No silicone lube (which seems counter-intuitive)
- All toys: fine with water-based lube.
There are several other materials which good toys can be made from and the site should specify what type of lube to use and/or avoid.
Storing your toys: wrap each toy up individually in a bit of cloth so the toys don't touch each other directly as they can often react to each other's material and sort of "melt" at the touching point.
