In spite of what some people may believe, myspace isn't a contest to see who can get the most friends. Did you really delete yours because you only had 10 friends? I think maybe you were missing the point. It's just an easy way to keep tabs on old friends, browse local band talent, etc.

Actually, no. Some people do treat it like that.
I set it up as there were some people I knew I was going to miss when I left college but I felt that I got ignored, so I thought it was better to eventually say goodbye.
It wasn't a big loss for 6-7 of them, as I could talk to them via MSN/IRC/Skype/etc.

Ehh!!!??? Oh wait, that'll probably be chavs that only look at the picture first. Then again, don't they think about what the person is like first!? (i'd rather learn more about them then jump straight into the deepend!)

EDIT: Or they are far more desperate for a friend of the opposite sex than I am. (if thats the case, I thought I was desperate, but that makes me sound not as desperate than others!)
