Naked actor in theater

Looks like there’s 2 performances of take me out in production right now

1 in SC at flower town players and the other a university production in GR College

TAKE ME OUT – The Flowertown Players

Drama - Green River College

The flowertown casting
Info says nudity not required but actors should be comfortable in a state of undress so not sure if they’re going full frontal

Anyone based/currently visiting London there’s a production of Afterglow on where all three actors go full frontal. I think it’s also been on in the US.
damn and the cast is very hot, I wish I knew about this earlier so I could've done more research because the play literally ends tomorrow

That must be a fairly old set of photos. That is 90s porn superstar Ryan Idol. (Also known as 1989 Playgirl centerfold Marc Donais)
His stage credits include;

  • Making Porn (1996–2001, New York (off Broadway), touring San Francisco, Miami, San Diego, Seattle, Chicago)
  • Scent of Rain as Bill Tom (2001-2003, Chicago, Los Angeles) (credited as Ryan Idol)

Surely not. Doesn't look like Ryan Idol to me, tho I suppose with weight gain it might be. How do you know?

I've seen videos of Jeff Stryker in "Making Porn" but not Ryan Idol. What is "The Scent of Rain" about?
quote from the person who originally shared the play:
"This is a filmed version of his 1999 play.

A sort of Six Brides for Seven Brothers, this play depicts the search by a wise father and his strapping straight sons for a "man-wife" for the "special"--that is, gay--son Jonathan. Their desperately improvised attempts at matchmaking produce a miserable date with an escaped convict and a happier one with a good-hearted drag queen. But as it turns out Jonathan has felt a lifelong ardor for Bill Tom (Ryan Idol), the family's hired hand."

I think you mean "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" don't you?
That play sounds like a hoot.

Here's the Monty Python production of that famous musical:

Anyone ever seen a naked theatre performance??
I saw the touring "Take Me Out" performance in Dallas a few years ago. The showers were on the perimeter of the stage and sitting in the first row, I could feel a mist of water while they were showering just a few feet away. IMHO there was some serious miscasting, but the very lengthy shower views were worth it.

Anyone ever seen a naked theatre performance??
Several. "Take Me Out" twice, once with Daniel Sunjata and cast, the second time with Jesse Williams and cast. "Love, Valour, and Compassion," with the yummy Randy Becker, and cast. "Naked Boys Singing." "Puppetry of the Penis." "Spring Awakening." Plus a number of Off-Broadway shows.

All those mentioned above plus Party(?) and Oh! Calcutta! —when I worked at a theater. Party was supposed to be set at a birthday party for one of the characters and they engage in some truth-or-date-type game where everyone ends-up stripping.

When Oh! Calcutta! played, we were sitting in the lobby and people began to leave 30 or 40 minutes into the show. I thought the show must of been pretty awful if there were seven or eight nude actors on stage and people were still leaving.

In the final scene of M. Butterfly, Song chased Gallimard round the stage, stripping as he went. At the end, he would face upstage, drop his boxers, then crouch down to grab a conveniently hidden kimono. One night as I checked the balcony to make sure everyone had left, two women were walking down the stairs ahead of me and one said to the other, "Now was that really a man or a woman?" I was worried that they were going to operate a car and hoped they were going in the opposite direction from where I lived. :emoji_scream:
