I'm a huge Chen fan and while I don't like his comment, he has every right to express it. That said, anyone who uses the phase "You and gays like you are what’s wrong with the gay community.", should really rethink their approach.

No sometimes that phrase is justifiable just like with any group. Those who have a problem with that are usually the problem.
More accurately, those who have a problem with it are simply better at identifying narcissism and calling out those who make assessment that they're not qualified to make.

Basically gave an extremely ignorant interview response trying to have this narrative that figure skating is LGBTQIA+ dominated and from there it came off as a like “woe is me, I’m a straight figure skater” as if the institution hasn’t been wildly homophobic for years and skaters like Weir didn’t face intense scrutiny only like a decade ago.
he’s also shown how incredibly tone deaf he is by doing a routine to Rocket Man.
