Netflix - elite

You think Skins went downhill? I used to think so as well, but after re-watching it the second cast was my favorite by far.
Skins did go downhill. But it was more from a storytelling standpoint. The way that season 3 ended and how divisive it was. It was obvious the writer had trouble figuring out what that third generations story was going to be. So you had this mix of lighthearted and really dark episodes. Which I feel aided in the audience not fully connecting with the new characters. Like they did with previous generations.

There's a french version of "Elite" in works. Why don't they just let good shows come to an end? Money, money, money....

If they can do it well…

So long as my people (the Americans) don’t attempt it, we’ll be fine. It’s too easy to do this show really really badly.

And, let’s be honest, it’s pretty inane as it is. If it weren’t for the cultural differences to keep it interesting, It couldn’t keep my attention as is. I mean we have plenty of glitzy teen melodramas here too.

I watched the UK version, obviously.

I’m confused, season 3, which is the middle of Gen2 story? Friendly reminder: each generation was there for two seasons.

Gen 3 was my least favorite as well (despite Alex, omg).

Skins at least didn’t try and keep characters with no storyline. Samuel literally had no lines season 4 just sex and staring at people.

I though the debate moment with his brother’s past was one of the most memorable of the season. What’s her face was a total shit. And it was interesting how Benedict had a kinship with him more than with Patrick.

Still, I understand where you’re coming from. It wasn’t fleshed out enough. Mostly it seemed we just learned he has a big dick and got to see his ass.

Which is fine when your genre is soft porn with lots of product placement.
