I have measured using a ruler and comparing to objects. I am almost exactly the size of a toilet paper roll, I can get my girth inside but just barely, i ease it inside and it is kind of uncomfortable and I usually wait until it goes down some before pulling it out because it is so tight. As for length the tip of my head sticks out the end of the roll but only by about 1/4" to 1/2".

I can't imagine that there are many men on earth who haven't measured their erection. If asked privately and in a normal conversation, I'm not reluctant to give all details. My own opinion is that I think at some point in every man's life they have either measured themselves or been measured by someone else (a partner, fwb etc).

While it could be true that someone hasn't measured or been measured for a long time. I do find it unlikely a guy has never once been curious or had someone else curious enough to measure their size.

I suppose a guy might just say they havnt measured if its been a long time and they cant be bothered to explain that it was X size Y amount of years ago or they don't want to state specifically their size if they are fully aware it's average/small and think perhaps that being unremarkable it may put some off. Could be other reasons but I think it's much rarer that a guy has never ever measured ever.

well, they don't want to lie or brag, depending. and with today's porn over- exposure...... and it's not a common question. I've declined to answer the few times I've been asked.. it's really no one's business. if really pressed, I will say " larger than average". "been told I'm large", "God blessed me". my wife is asked how big I am more than I am. she usually declines or gives a vague answer.
