It’s a weird contradiction.
There is clearly a demand amongst gay audiences who want the “straight guy” fantasy. Then the guy gets popular and the audiences expectation flip and all of a sudden it’s “you’re exploiting the gay community for profit and leading men on!” When in reality, gays build these performers up then tear them down knowing good and well the Malik Delgatys and William Seeds or whoever of the world clearly aren’t gay men.
It’s all projection.
I think it’s this resentment of the stereotype that gays can’t be masculine. So they pay for straight masculine men to do porn and then get angry they’re not actually on the same team. Truth is, there’s tons of gay masculine men but being a small population of men - the tall sexy fitness freaks tend to have really good jobs and education and don’t need to do porn.
It’s actually probably way easier to find a hot straight guy who will do porn than a hot gay guy who will do porn when you think about population, education, and current income.
But yeah it’s like straight men who expect a phone number or a date after a lap dance from a stripper.
Even if Malik or William were gay, they’d date each other! They wouldn’t get with us anyways.
So yeah that’s why I don’t understand the whole conversations about G4P in porn.
