So, this “nude bonding” thing is more than just homoerotic wishful thinking. Here are some members of the Rat Pack hanging out and hangin’ out with each other - Dean Martin (far left), a thin Jerry Lewis (center left) , ? , and Joey Bishop (?) on right. Although I think I misidentified Joey Bishop… Anyhow, this is probably late 50s Los Vegas or Palm Springs

The pictures came across my Twitter feed. These are pictures from the classic Hollywood and Vegas days that I never imagined would see the light of day. Which friend of these celebrities took these photos? They are dead, but who obtained these photos, and these nude photos are an eye-opener l.
How can these possibly be authentic?? And yet they certainly appear to be! What's the story? There's Dean Martin with his dick hanging out, showering with another man in the 50's and 60'??? WTF?

Just because something hasn't been in the public eye does not mean it doesn't exist. Men being comfortable naked around other men has a long history (thousands of years). It's only in the past 20 years (especially in America where are Puritanical roots are difficult to escape) where that has become increasingly rare.
I totally agree. It's just so shocking that in that era they'd be that candid about it... or maybe it's not shocking to others. However, do you think there's a chance these are photo shopped? Can you tell?
Well, maybe they're authentic after all! I guess that wouldn't be the craziest thing a Hollywood star has done!

I think it is very reasonable to be stunned by seeing a nude celebrity photo from Classic Hollywood. It’s not as of everyone had a cell phone with a digital camera in their pocket — taking photos would have been a deliberate process. You are also correct to point out the timing with McCarthyism cracking down in Hollywood with its hunt for homosexuality and “deviant” activity.
On the flip side, it’s still 1952, just seven years after WWII ended for the USA. In the navy in particular, service men were in tight quarters showering nude together. Men weren’t shy about being naked around each other unlike 49 years later…. It’s just surprising that these photos leaked to the public.

All good points. Life magazine has a whole slew of locker room photos that seem to be from about this era. Have you seen them? Mindbogglingly hot.
